Our usual weekly programme of Worship and Prayer

Parish Family Eucharist Service Sunday 10am

This service reflects the multi-cultural and ethnic diversity of Peckham and Camberwell which includes West African, West Indian communities, with representation from South America and further afield. The Service includes a Sunday School for children, and a guild of servers for younger people to participate.  This is also then main service for baptisms for children.  To download a leaflet for more information on this service click here. Our Rhythm of services are:

  • First Sunday: Sung Eucharist
  • Second Sunday: Extended Teaching Service
  • Third Sunday: Extended Drumming Service
  • Fourth Sunday: Extended Intercession and Prayer Service

Contemplative Evening Service Sunday 7pm

This service in the Lady Chapel, is a space for reflection and more contemplative forms of prayer.  The service is led by members of our Wellspring New Monastic Community, and lasts for about an hour.  Usually participants go for a drink on the Peckham Pelican Bar after the service. Rhythm of Services:

  • First Sunday: Contemplative Service
  • Second Sunday: Contemplative Eucharist
  • Third Sunday: Compline Service
  • Fourth Sunday: Taize Service
  • Fifth Sunday: Alternative Service or Labyrinth.

Week Day Morning & Evening Prayer 

Our daily contemplative Anglican prayer is led by participants of our Wellspring New Monastic Community, and reflects the Rhythm of Life of St Luke’s Peckham in the cycle of the Church’s liturgical year.  Our usual rhythm is:

  • Mondays: 7.30am Morning Prayer
  • Tuesdays: 7.30pm Evening Prayer
  • Wednesdays: 7.30am Morning Prayer
  • Thursdays: 7.30pm Evening Prayer
