Peckham Pantry Project
The Pantry project has now been up and running on Wednesdays for 7 months, and has already had a massive impact in the North Peckham Area.  It actively supports families and individuals in our Parish who are struggling with food poverty.  Anyone who is struggling financially can join the scheme, just turn up at St Lukes Church Hall from 10am to 3pm and sign up.  We are really grateful for working with the Pecan Centre who are partnering with us in this incredibly important project.

St Luke’s Community Cafe
Every Wednesday between 11 and 2 freshly made hot soup is available for those who gather for the Community Cafe which includes supporting people who are part of the Pantry Project but also those who would like to meet up with others for a chat and contact with food.  A big thanks goes to Esme in particular who prepares the soup every week, and without her and Elsa supporting her to get the soup to the Church, the cafe would not happen.  The Church is also left open at this time to allow people who want to pray to come into the Church.
All-Age Services
All-Age services have been introduced into St Luke’s Church ever since the All-Age Christingle Service in December 2018. We plan to have them on the 1st Sunday of the month, where we also offer our Thanksgiving in song by having Worship and Praise Songs whilst we share The Peace..
We have had All-Age services for Racial Justice Sunday; Mothering Sunday; Easter Sunday; Acension Sunday, Education Sunday and most recently Harvest Thanksgiving.  Our next All-Age Service will be on 3rd November as we celebrate All-Saints Day.
Our All-Age Services are accessible to all including those who do not usually attend Church on a Sunday.  We look forward to welcoming you to come along and join in.
Diocesan Spirituality Day to support Prayer

Having an intimate prayer life is crucial to the development and sustaining of a Christian faith, but statistics show that many Christians really struggle with prayer, particularly pray that is about silence or learning to listen to and for God to speak into your life.  If you are struggling with your prayer day, why not come along to the Diocesan Spirituality Day being run at the Cathedral that Fr Ian is helping to lead and Yemi Ojumu is contributing to the worship.  To book, visit:  Tickets cost £8.00.  (You can also pay at the door, but that costs £10.00 and your workshop choices will be limited.)
