We are very much looking forward to welcoming our two new Curates to expand our priestly  ministry team by literally a 300% increase in time.  We welcome our new Senior Curate, Revd Sandra Schloss and our new NSM Curate, Revd Collins Durueke to St Luke’s.

Sandra will be licensed at St Luke’s Church on Weds 6th September at 7.30pm by Bishop Karowei, the Bishop of Woolwich, and Collins will be Ordained a Priest in the Church of England by Bishop Christopher, the Diocesan Bishop of Southwark on Sun 24th September at 4pm. All are welcome to attend!

Sandra comes to us after completing a first curacy in the Croydon Episcopal Area, and will be working full time in the parish as well as supporting the Trinity Centre of our next door parish when Fr Nicholas the Vicar of St Georges Camberwell retires at the end of September.  She will be leading on a number of initiatives – some started some needing to be birthed from September once she finds her feet that will include being the lead for Peckham Citizens Organising Committee, St Luke’s Youth Work & Church, expanding pastoral care and developing parish ministry. Sandra will become the Chaplain to the St Luke’s Mothers Union.

Collins comes to us as an Ordained Deacon in the Church of Nigeria and whose ordination has been recognised, but will be Ordained a Priest in the Church of England.  Collins will become the Chaplain to the Sunday Morning Congregations Men’s Forum, and have time to develop priestly ministry skills and pastoral visiting in his time with us.

It is great to have Sandra and Collins with us, and this is a great blessing!!
