Stations of the Cross
Holy Week
The fourteen Stations of the Cross symbolise the events on the route to Jesus’ crucifixion. They help us all to think about and meditate on the suffering of Christ and his place in our lives. St Luke’s Church recorded this journey for 2021, based on the Revelations of Divine Love of Julian of Norwich.
Each station takes the form of a quotation, a bible reading, a meditation by Julian of Norwich (c1343-1416), and prayers. Mother Julian wrote the meditations after surviving a severe illness when she was around 30.
You can view them in one sitting (48 minutes), or pause after each one to think and pray. There are chapter marks in Youtube to assist this - they appear in the Youtube timeline. We’re grateful to the Taize Community for the music.
